Eva Carrasco Yanez

Eva Carrasco Yanez, 64, of Big Spring, died Friday July 4, 2014 in Odessa. Vigil services will be 7 p.m. Tuesday at Myers & Smith Chapel. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with burial following at Mount Olive Memorial Park.
Eva was born to Elena and Ireneo Carrasco on Nov. 27, 1949 in Pecos, Texas. She was a lifetime resident of Big Spring and a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. She was a certified nurse’s aide.
She is survived by her children, David Yanez Jr. and wife Michelle, Cindy Rodriguez and husband Frank, Connie Yanez, Joseph Yanez and wife Irma, all of Big Spring, Christina Yanez of Odessa, Sonya Gonzales and husband Jeromaine of Big Spring and Mario Yanez and wife Sarah, also of Big Spring; 26 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by one brother, Albert Carrasco of Big Spring; six sisters, Irene Norman and husband Mike of Houston, Celia Smithwick and husband Albert of Big Spring, Mariaelena Guardiola of Albuquerque, N.M,, Grace Levrier of Austin, Texas, Lucy Cruz and husband Frank of Big Spring, Lydia Tamayo and husband Joe of San Antonio, Texas; plus several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Tomas Carrasco and one sister, Adela Hernandez.
