Eva Sue “Susie” Anderson, 88, formerly of Big Spring, Texas, died Monday, Nov. 11, 2013, in Perris, Calif. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013, at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park.

Susie was born Aug. 27, 1925, in Potisi, Texas, and married Wilford Edward “Pete” Anderson Aug. 12, 1942, in Big Spring, Texas. They were married for 39 years. Pete preceded her in death in 1981.
Susie started playing golf in her 50’s and also started bowling in leagues. She continued bowling in two leagues a week at the age of 85. After her husband Pete passed away, she started making porcelain dolls.

Susie taught Sunday School, led Bible studies and was always involved in church activities.

Survivors include three children, Donnie Anderson and wife, Linda of Foothill Ranch, Calif., Ron Anderson and wife, Suzanne of Tyler, Texas, and Debra Szczawinski and husband, Ski of Murrieta, Calif.; a sister Betty Findley; a brother, Charles Simmons; seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother Sarah Anne Simmons; father, Guy Simmons; step-mother, Ethel Simmons; and three brothers, Randel Simmons, Jerry Simmons and Jimmy Simmons.
