Fair organizers promise full entertainment slate

September 19, 2011

The Howard County Fair is making its way back, refreshed and restored.

This year, fairgoers will notice a new coat of paint on the inside of the fair barns and a cooler atmosphere. Refrigerated air conditioning will be added before opening night. The fair will run from Sept. 29 through Oct. 1, with doors opening nightly at 5 p.m.

“We are coming back with new attractions and some of the old favorites,” said fair board member John Nichols.
