Fe Abreo Acosta, 84, of Big Spring died Saturday, June 2, 2012, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Interment will follow at Mt Olive Memorial Park.
A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, June 4, 2012, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel.
Fe was born Jan. 6, 1928, in Stanton, Texas, and married Conrrado Acosta on Sept. 11, 1945, in Big Spring. He preceded her in death Sept. 1, 2001.
Fe and her husband farmed in Ackerly since 1945. She was a charter member of Iglesia Bautista La Fe of Big Spring.
Survivors include two sons, Joe Acosta and wife Tracy of Canyon Lake and Albert Acosta and wife Lilia of San Antonio; one daughter, Alicia Fowler and husband Larry of Ackerly; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Gloria Galan of Big Spring, Mary Elizabeth Rainey of Schertz and Mary Ann Ficke of Boerne; four brothers, Efren Abreo of Austin, Noe Abreo of Lubbock, Santiago "Jimmy" Abreo of Big Spring and David Abreo of Ft. Worth.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, Domingo and Luz (Barraza) Abreo; one daughter, Alma Acosta; one sister, Hope Dasilva; and one brother, Salvador Abreo.
