Filomeno T. "F.T." Franco Jr., 68, of Big Spring died Monday, October 24, 2011, in an Odessa hospital. A vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 28, 2011, at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish (Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church). Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Memorial Park.

He was born Aug. 24, 1943, in Marfa, Texas, and owned and operated Franco Concrete for 40 years, until becoming ill about 10 years ago.

Survivors include two sons, Henry Franco and wife Lisa of Big Spring and Filomeno Franco III and wife Kimberly Schaffer of Austin; two daughters, Luanna Franco and Catarina Franco, both of Big Spring; four brothers, Armando Franco, Oscar Franco, Gilbert Franco and Albert Franco, all of Big Spring; two sisters, Tomasa French and Catarina Flores, both of Big Spring; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Filomeno Sr. and Santos Trango Franco; two brothers, Ector Franco and Henry Franco; and one granddaughter.

The family suggests memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association, 8008 Slide Rd., Lubbock, Texas 79424; or to a charity of choice.
