Florence Virginia Winfield, 73, of Big Spring died Monday, June 4, 2012, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 8, 2012, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Dwain Fox officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 7, 2012, at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.
Florence was born Oct. 9, 1938, in Fredericksburg, Va., and graduated from Chamberlain High School. She married John Phillip Winfield on June 1, 1957. She worked for years in retail. She was a Baptist.
Survivors include William Winfield of San Antonio; Katherine Woodward of Newport News, Va.; Little John Winfield of Big Spring; Erin Carroll of Big Spring; and Darlynn and Kirk Allen of Big Spring; and four grandchildren.
Florence was preceded in death by her husband, John Phillip Winfield; her father, Frank Way; her mother, Lucy Way; and her two brothers, Thomas Way and Ivan Patterson.
