Florence Virginia Winfield, 73, of Big Spring died Monday, June 4, 2012, at her residence. She has gone to be with our Lord and Savior. The family will be holding a visitation Thursday, June 7, 2012, at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 8, 2012, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel at 10 a.m. Dwain Fox will be officiating the service. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.
Florence was born Oct. 7, 1938, in Fredicksburg, Va., and graduated from Chamberlain High School. She married John Phillip Winfield on June 1, 1957. She worked for years in retail and was a loving wife, mother of five children and five grandchildren.
She was a Baptist.
Survivors include William Winfield of San Antonio, Katherine Woodward of Newport News, Va., Little John Winfield of Big Spring, Erin Carroll of Big Spring and Darlynn and Kirk Allen of Big Spring. Her grandchildren are Aaron Carroll, Brian Carroll, Justin Moss, Jessica Moss and Kyler Allen, all residing in Big Spring.
Florence was preceded in death by her husband, John Phillip Winfield; her father, Frank Way; her mother, Lucy Way; and her two brothers, Thomas Way and Ivan Patterson.
