Florene Kelley

Florene Kelley, 90, of Big Spring, died Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013, in a local hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, at Baptist Temple with the Revs. Eldon Reynolds and Rick Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.

Florene was born Jan., 4, 1923 in Rule, Texas, and married Luther Kelley in San Francisco, Calif. Oct. 10, 1942. Florene was a sales clerk for more than 28 years in Big Spring for C. R. Anthony. After retiring in 1986, she spent time enjoying her family and cooking.

Survivors include her husband, Luther Kelley of Big Spring; one daughter, Sarah Kelley of Big Spring; one son, Warren Kelley and wife, Kay of Lubbock; two grandchildren, Kyle Kelley and wife, Tabitha of Lubbock, and Stacy Griffin and husband, Sam of Levelland; and four great-grandchildren, Colton Kelley, Kyleigh Kelley, Isabel Griffin, and Hays Griffin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Della (Hutto) Denison; one brother, Bill Denison; and two sisters, Frances McDonald and Tommie Reynolds.
