Forsan ISD: Safe rooms are back in

July 17, 2014

FORSAN — Safe rooms will be included in each of the classrooms of the new Forsan elementary campus as trustees for the Forsan Independent School District were able to find funds to add the rooms back into the project design.

“The safe rooms will be cinderblock rooms with a concrete lid on each one,” said FISD Superintendent Randy Johnson. “They are designed to help us whether we have active shooter drills or a tornado. We will have safe spots throughout the building to help protect the kids and staff.”
