Four qualify for UIL state meet

Four Big Spring High School students will head to Austin after qualifying for the University Interscholastic League state academic meet.

Bell Guillory earned the title of regional champion in informative extemporaneous speaking. Also qualifying were Aron Rios, who placed second in informative extemporaneous speaking; Ethan Morelion, third in Lincoln/Douglas debate and third in persuasive extemporaneous speaking; and Elana Clark, who placed third in ready writing. The regional contest was held Friday and Saturday on the Texas Tech University campus in Lubbock.
