Frank Jara Jr., 80, of Big Spring, Texas died Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014, at his residence. Vigil services will be 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Memorial Park.

He was born Dec. 23, 1933 in Big Spring and was a lifelong resident. He worked for Nalley-Pickle Funeral Home for many years and for Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home for a number of years. He also worked for Wes-T-Go a period of time. He enjoyed playing golf and shuffle board.

Survivors include one daughter, Ana Marie Jara Villanueva and husband, Ruben of Dallas; one son, Alberto Jara and wife, Dana of Beaumont; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Estella Jara of Big Spring and Lenor Reyes of Dallas; two brothers, Manuel Jara of Midland and Fred Jara of Houston.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Jara Sr. and Eugenia Jara; two brothers, Severo Jara and Pablo Jara; and one sister, Jesusita Torres.
