Frank Lloyd Sickles, 58, of Big Spring died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, in a Midland hospital. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, at First Christian Church, Big Spring, with Dr. Ken McIntosh officiating.
He was born Dec. 10, 1954, in Socorro, N.M., to Lillian and George Sickles of Datil, N.M. Frank married Laura Cassady on Aug. 5, 1978.
He attended New Mexico Military Institute for two years before going to Eastern New Mexico University, where he received his bachelors degree in business administration and masters degree in marketing. He and Laura moved to Texas in 1983.
He retired with Big Spring ISD and went to work at Walmart until illness prevented him from working. He was a member of the First Christian Church, where he served as an elder. Frank served as the board president of Isaiah 58, a local food pantry, which is affiliated with the First Christian Church of Big Spring.
His survivors are his wife of 34 years, Laura Sickles; two brothers, David L. Sickles and wife Linda of Albuquerque, N.M., and Mickey L. Sickles and wife Belen of Mesa, Ariz.; and seven nieces and nephews whom he loved very much.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Lillian and George Sickles.
The family suggests memorials be made to First Christian Church, Isaiah 58 Fund, 911 Goliad, Big Spring, Texas 79720.
