Freda O'Brien

Freda O'Brien, 58, of Big Spring, died Sunday, May 18, 2014, in a Martin County Hospital. Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at the Springcreek Fellowship.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday evening at 3805 Connally.

Freda was born Feb. 11, 1956, in Valdosta, Georgia, She moved to Big Spring when she was 16 years old. She worked for the Security State Bank for a short time and then spent more 30 years in the propane industry working for Trio Fuels and finally Pinnacle Propane. Her love was raising kids and was "Nanna" to many.

She is survived by two daughters, Erica Cervantes and husband, Oscar of Big Spring, and Kevy O'Brien of Coahoma; one son, Frederic Blake Lansperry of Slaton; three grandchildren; one sister, Freddie Shugrue; two nieces.

Freda was preceded in death by husbands, John O'Brien and Eric Lanspery; and her parents, Fred and Wanell (Leggett) Graham.
