Eddy Spurgin received a colorful welcome home over the weekend.

Spurgin, a major general in the Texas Army National Guard, arrived back home to Big Spring Sunday evening after a tour of duty in Iraq.

In his honor and as a way to say thank you, his fellow church members and friends gathered together to decorate his home Sunday afternoon.
