Fundraiser to aid veterans

June 23, 2011

Crossroads area residents are invited to say thanks to area veterans and have some family fun in the process.

From 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday, the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 47 will be having a fundraiser at the Hog Heaven Party Barn.

According to Mike Tarpley, junior vice commander, the DAV Chapter 47 is always in need of funds.

All of the chapter’s funds go toward offering assistance to the disabled veterans of the Big Spring community, Tarpley said.
