Gage Mims

Gage Mims, 56, of Big Spring, died Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014, at his residence after a long battle with cancer. Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at Myers & Smith Chapel.

He was born March 22, 1957, to Bill and Bonnie “Reid” Mims in Big Spring. Except for a few years in Lubbock, he was a lifetime resident of Howard County. He graduated from Forsan High School and attended Howard College and Texas Tech. He was an avid football fan. He also loved hunting and fishing.

He is survived by one son, Jason of Big Spring; one daughter, Stephanie of Big Spring; and one brother, Layne Mims, also of Big Spring.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Bonnie Mims.
