Garden City seniors graduate tonight

GARDEN CITY — Katie Multer and Reggie Halfmann are the top graduates for Garden City High School' Class of 2012, school officials announced.

Multer, the daughter of Tanya and Warren Multer, is class valedictorian. During her high school career, she has been active in National Honor Society, student council, University Interscholastic League academics, Fellowship of Christian Students, Future Farmers of America, one-act play, Business Professionals of America and robotics.

In athletics, she participated in tennis, power-lifting, cheerleading and was a member of the regional-qualifying girls' golf team in 2011.
Multer plans to attend Texas Tech University and major in pre-communication disorders.

Halfmann, son of Nathan and Gena Halfmann, is class salutatorian. Among his high school activities are NHS, student council, UIL academics, Texas Math, Science and Computer Associates, FCS, FFA and 4-H.
In athletics, he participated in football and basketball.

Halfmann plans to attend Texas Tech with a major in agriculture business.

GCHS will hold 2012 commencement exercises at 7:30 p.m. today in the school auditorium.
