Gary W. Lawson 55, of Hobbs, N.M., passed away Feb. 14, 2013, in Hobbs. Gary was born July 12, 1957, in Colorado City, Texas, to Laddie C. and Dorothy J. Goodin Lawson.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, in the Griffin Funeral Home Chapel.
Gary married Cindy Smith on June 25, 1977, in Big Spring, Texas, and they came to Hobbs in March of 1987. Gary was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed hunting, fishing and going camping with family and friends. Gary worked for more than 30 years as a salesman in the oilfield industry.
Survivors include his wife, Cindy Lawson of the home; two sons, Justin Lawson (Ashley) of Austin, Texas, and Jacob Lawson of LaVernia, Texas; one daughter, Megan Lawson Black of McQueeney, Texas; two grandchildren, Bryton Black and Burklee Lawson; one brother, Doyle Lawson( Brenda) of Big Spring, Texas; and one sister, Debra Russell of Sherman, Texas.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents.
