Gregory Walker, 56, of Big Spring, went home to be with his Lord on Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2011, in a Lubbock hospital.
The family has asked that friends join them at the funeral home from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, 2011, for a time of visitation.

Greg was born on Sept. 13, 1955, in Mitchell County, Texas, and married Robin Nix on Sept. 3, 1977, in Coahoma.

He was an Instrument Tech at Sid Richardson for 22 years until his medical retirement six years ago. He enjoyed being outdoors hunting, fishing, and playing golf. He especially enjoyed the Texas Rangers. In 2005, he rededicated his life to Christ and was proud to share his faith.

Survivors include his wife, Robin Walker of Big Spring; two sons, Garrett Walker and Ryan Walker and wife, Chelsea, all of Big Spring; one granddaughter, Brynleigh Walker; one brother, Mike Walker of Grand Prairie; several nieces and nephews; and his faithful dog, Buddy.

Greg was preceded in death by his parents, Jackie and Patsy (Beaty) Walker.

The family suggests memorials be made to American Cancer Society, Relay for Life, c/o Sandy Griffin, 1217 E. 17th, Big Spring 79720.
