Guadalupe P. 'Lupe' Gomez

Guadalupe P. "Lupe" Gomez, 78, of Big Spring, Texas died Wednesday, Oct. 02, 2013, at his residence. The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Ackerly Cemetery.

He was born Dec. 14, 1934, at Sinton, Texas to Miqaela and Antonio Gomez. He lived most of his life in Ackerly moving to Big Spring 15 years ago. He farmed all of his life in the Ackerly area, retiring in 2000. He was a Baptist.

He is survived by his wife, Angela Gomez of Big Spring; one son, Gilbert Gomez of Houston, Texas; one step-son, Johnny Trevino of Big Spring; two step-daughters, Cecilia Trevino and Olga Trevino, both of Big Spring; eight grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Ydelia Barron; and one brother, Eddie Gomez.
