Guadalupe Rodriguez Sr., 68, of Big Spring died Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, at Scenic Mountain Medical Center. Vigil services will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Myers & Smith Chapel. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Myers & Smith Chapel with burial following at Mount Olive Memorial Park.

He was born to Juanita and Rafael Rodriguez Jan. 7, 1946 in Knott. He was a lifelong resident of Howard County. He was a Catholic.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia Rodriguez of Big Spring; his mother Juanita Rodriguez of Stanton; eight children, JoAnne Mendez and husband, Marcos, and David Rodriguez and wife, Liz, both of Big Spring, Brenda Espinoza and husband, Ray, of Snyder, Guadalupe Rodriguez Jr. and wife, Mary Ann, of Big Spring, Louisa Edmonson and husband, Doyle Jr., of Big Spring, Betty Rodriguez of Midland, and Rocky Rodriguez and Bella Rodriguez both of Fort Worth; five brothers, Luis Rodriguez of Stanton, Emilio Rodriguez of Caldwell, Texas, Rafael Rodriguez of San Angelo, Albert Heredia of Midland and Martin Rodriguez of Stanton; three sisters, Sabrina Tracy, Ynez Santos and Thomasa Rodriguez, all of Stanton.

He was preceded in death by his father, Rafael Rodriguez; and one brother, Celistino Rodriguez.

Serving as pallbearers are Lupe Rodriguez Jr., Betty Rodriguez, Danny Haggard, Ray Espinoza, Arturo Ornelas, Juaquin Rodriguez, Michael Rodriguez and Luis Rodriguez, Jr.
