Harold Brantley

Harold Brantley, 89, of Stanton died Monday, Nov. 7, 2011, in a Crane nursing home. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, 2011, at the Evergreen Cemetery in Stanton, Texas.
He was born Dec. 7, 1921, in Woodson, Texas, and married Lillian Inez Allen on May 27, 1944 in Holliday, Texas.
Harold served in the United States Army as a sergeant and platoon leader during World War II. He worked as a pipeline welder and had worked on the Alaskan pipeline. He also worked with his brother, Henry Brantley of Monahans, moving oil rigs.
He was a member of Belvue Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Lillian Brantley of Stanton; one son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Sherry Brantley of Stanton; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Dennis Brantley.
