There is still time to grab a booth space for the 2012 Howard County Fair.
The fair, set for Sept. 27-29, will once again take place at the Howard County Fairbarn. Gates will open from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27 and Friday, Sept. 28 and from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29.
“At this time, we are trying to get the vendors lined up for this year’s fair,” John Paul Nichols, Howard County Fair publicity director, said.
Last year, there were more than 50 booths in the fair. Booth spaces are available for profit and non-profit vendors.
“We are hoping to draw in more vendors than we did last year,” Nichols said.
Indoor booths are $175 and outdoor spaces are available for $250.
“The ideal situation would be to sell out and fill up the fair barn with vendors,” Nichols said.
In addition to purchasing booth space, memberships are available. Money from memberships helps fund improvement projects in order to make the fair better each year.
“As a small town fair, we constantly strive to improve our county fair while being restricted by a small budget,” he said. “We want to thank all those who help and give to the fair.”
