Hawks split so far at National Softball Championship tourney

Howard College’s Megan Granado smacks a 3-run homer in the bottom of the sixth inning to break a 1-1 stalemate with Lakeland College (Ill.) and put the Hawks up 4-1. The Hawks would win the first game of the national championship tourney in St.George, Utah 5-1. HC lost Game 2 to St. Lake City Community College by a score of 9-5. The Hawks will try to avoid elimination today when they take the field in Game 3 against an opponent yet to be determined.
