H.C. Rowden

H.C. Rowden, 80, of Big Spring, died Monday Aug. 4, 2014, at Scenic Mountain Medical Center. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Memorial Park with Eddy Pitchford of Coahoma Church of Christ officiating.

He was born June 10, 1934, in Big Spring to Ocie Magdalene and Charlie Lee Rowden. He was a lifetime resident of Howard County. He was a retired plumbing contractor and a member of Birdwell Lane Church of Christ.

He is survived by two sons, Hubert Rowden and wife Sherry of Coahoma and Phillip Rowden of Big Spring; two daughters, Jeanette Wall and husband Rodney of Belton and Rebecca Shelton and husband Jarry of Las Vegas; one brother, Royce Rowden of Abilene; two sisters, Janice Basden and Deborah Ebersole, both of Big Spring; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and by the mother of his children and wife for 43 years, Patsy.
