Hermerejildo "Herman" "Mere" Orosco Sr., 91, of Big Spring died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, in a local hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, at the Nallely-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Memorial Park.
A vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel.
He was born April 13, 1921, in Pecos, Texas, and married Eusebia Carrasco on Jan. 17, 1944, in Big Spring, Texas.
He moved to Big Spring as an infant. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He worked for T&P Railroad and as a painter.
Survivors include his wife, Eusebia Orosco of Big Spring; one son, "Sonny" Herman Orosco Jr. and wife Margie of Houston; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Robert Orosco II; one brother; and one sister.
