Historic Military Convoy rambles through Big Spring

The Historic Military Preservation Association drove through Big Spring this morning with 60 historic military vehicles as part of a reenactment of the 1920 Military motor convoy along the Bankhead Highway. The first all-weather transcontinental highway, the Bankhead highway route comes through Big Spring by way of what is now called Third St. Around 250 people welcomed the convoy which made a stop off at the Hangar 25 Air Museum before heading out again on its two-month trip.
