Howard College sets spook-tacular events

October 26, 2012

Ghosts, goblins and bears!
Howard College will have the Halloween spirit this year as it hosts trick or treaters on the HC Big Spring campus and a haunted house on the SouthWest Collegiate Institute for the Deaf campus.

For the fourth year in a row, Howard College will host trick or treaters in the women's dorm on Halloween night, Wednesday, Oct. 31, from 6-8 p.m. Dress up your little goblins and bring them over. Twenty-five of the college's 37 rooms are participating and have lots of candy and something "glowingly" special this year. Put Howard College on your list of safe and fun places to go this holiday.

The SWCID campus is hosting a haunted house tonight and Saturday from 6 p.m. to midnight and then again Oct. 29-31 from 6 p.m. until 10:30. Parents with children under the age of 12 will be allowed from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. each night the event is open.

Entrance fees are: Adults (12 years old and up) $8 and children (3-12 years old) $3. Children under 2 are free.

Anyone willing to spend a little extra time on campus and learn one or two signs in American Sign Language, will be eligible for a $3 discount on their admission fee.

The haunted house will be in the SWCID campus Diagnostic Center behind the senior citizens center at 3301 Hudgens Memorial. Call the SWCID campus at 432-264-3700 if you have questions.
