Iona M. Hardison, 91, of Big Spring, Texas, died Tuesday, Aug.t 19, 2014, at Scenic Mountain Medical Center. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014, at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Trinity Memorial Park Peace Chapel with Pastor Andy Miller, officiating.

She was born March 3, 1923 in Waco, Texas, to Ada Lee and Dewey Miller Martin. She married Edwin Glen Hardison on Sept. 2, 1939, in Aquilla, Texas (Hill Country). He preceded her in death. She has been a resident of Big Spring for more than 54 years. She was a member of Philadelphia Primitive Baptist Church and a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, Carroll Hardison and wife, Pat, of Big Spring; two daughters, Suzanne Montague and husband, Jim, of Guffy, Colo., and Debbie Burrow and husband, Guy, of Big Spring; son-in-law, Chalmer Wren and wife, Norma, of Stanton, Texas; eight grandchildren, Lois and Craig Wallace, Nancy and Randy Teague, Trey (Chuck) and Judy Wren, Renee and Steven Lerner, Laura and Dan Olson, Tara and Danny Kibler, Matt and Dee Ann Burrow, Kathryn and Andy Miller and John and Laura Sautter; 17 great grandchildren, Dalton, Taylor, Hayden, Adam, Morgan, Cody, Hallie, Abbey Jo, Kyle, Jamie, David, Jade, Grant, Sam, Reagan, Bailey and Kassidy; and one great great grandchild, Allayna.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; two daughters, Kathy Wren and Baby Hardison; one sister, Oleta Burton; brother, Dewey Martin and beloved Uncle John Anderson.
