Izell Johnson

Izell Johnson, 99, of Big Spring died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Howard Adams officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.
Izell was born Dec. 28, 1913, in Smithville, Texas, and married Will Johnson on Oct. 28, 1934, in Smithville. He preceded her in death March 29, 2002. She was a member of Highway 80 Church of Christ.
Survivors include four sons, Ulis Johnson and wife Frances of Big Spring, Robert Lee Johnson and wife Martha of Lubbock, Roy Johnson of Big Spring and Fredrick "T." Johnson and wife Mary Sue of Midland; four daughters, Charles Green and Willene Knox, both of Big Spring, Jennie Johnson of Odessa and Izell "Twinkle" White and husband Earl of Paducah, Ken.; one sister, Albereta Lewis of Smithville; 27 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; 27 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Melvin Johnson; one sister; and five brothers.
