Jackie Faye Bowden, 78, of Big Spring died Monday, Dec. 12, 2011, in a local nursing home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011, at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2011, at the funeral home.

Jackie was born Oct. 5, 1933, in Lubbock, Texas, to Tom and Opal Williams. She married Horace Bowden on Feb. 24, 1956. She was a housewife, mother, grandmother and a member of Midway Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Horace Bowden of Big Spring; one son, Mark Bowden and wife Donna of Midland; one daughter, Sheila Bowden of Dallas; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Tommie Coulter and husband Jack of San Antonio and Mary Ann Dowell and husband Joe of McKinney; one brother-in-law; several nephews and one niece.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Helen Mason.
