Jacques 'Jackie' Newton

Jacques “Jackie” Newton, 92, of Big Spring died Saturday March 8, 2014 at Parkview Nursing and Rehab Center. Private family services will be at a later date.

She was born March 12, 1921 to Wilma and Samuel Rawls in Fort Worth, Texas. She married Thomas J. Newton in Abilene, Texas, on Feb. 17, 1945. He preceded her in death Nov. 10, 1997. She had been a resident of Big Spring for 13 years moving to the city from Midland, Texas. She was a homemaker and housewife.

She is survived by two daughters, Terry Smith and husband Ken of San Angelo,Texas, Sandra Fulesday and husband Val of Big Spring; one son, Steven Newton of Albuquerque, N.M.; six grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband she is preceded in death by one granddaughter, Carol Jean Smith and one daughter-in-law: Marilyn D. (Keen) Newton.
