James Hollis Meek

James Hollis Meek, 79, of Odessa passed away Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, at Midland Memorial Hospital. He was born Jan. 11, 1934, in Big Spring, Texas. He served in the U.S. Navy. and was owner of the Swim Shop.
He is preceded in death by his parents, J.M. and Helen Meek; daughter, Karla Meek; and sister, Reba Kennedy.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Meek of Odessa; son, Kent Meek and wife Johnnie of Midland; daughter, Kathy Gianfala of Odessa; sisters, Meda Cunningham of Big Spring, Jolene Starrack of Coleman and Betty Jaun Valiquette of Midland; granddaughter, Sarah Fontenot; great-granddaughter, Tierrah; brother-in-law, Bob Kennedy; best friend, Gene Walls; and numerous nieces and nephews.

There will be a visitation from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. Burial will be in Trinity Memorial Park in Big Spring.
