James Lee Henderson

James Lee Henderson, 72, of Big Spring, died Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at his residence. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, July 6, 2012, at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery, Abilene.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 5, 2012, at the funeral home.

He was born Oct. 4, 1939, in Brownwood, Texas and married Gayla L. Cook Jan. 4, 1974 in Floresville, Texas.

James was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of the Noncommissioned Officers Association, the VFW and the National Uniform Association. After retiring from the Army, he was a ranch manager for 35 years.

He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Gayla L. Henderson of Big Spring; three daughters, Oleta Huitt and husband, Terr,y and Tina Henderson all of Big Spring, and Gina Parton and husband, Everett of Sand Springs; one brother, Joe Henderson of Ballinger; one sister, Barbara Degilia of Bryan; five grandsons and one great grandson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Minnie Oleta (Bagley) Henderson.
