Janet Sue Harrington, 58, of Big Spring died Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012, at her residence. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012, at Mount Olive Memorial Park with Maj. Orville Chambless of the Salvation Army officiating.

She was born April 4, 1953, to Margaret (Becker) Atwell and Melvin Atwell in Big Spring, Texas. She grew up in Big Spring, graduating from Big Spring High School. She married Donnie Harrington and he preceded her in death. She retired from the Texas School Book Depository in Austin. She returned to Big Spring in 2008.She volunteered at the Salvation Army and was involved in other charities. She was family oriented.

She is survived by two grandsons: Adam and Anthony Stuckert of Big Spring; one aunt; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a grandson and a sister, Shirley Atwell.
