Jean Hart

Jean Hart, 78, of Big Spring died Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2011, at Scenic Mountain Medical Center. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011, at Myers & Smith Chapel.

She was born April 21, 1933, to Charlsie Louise and Schyler Lawrence Robinson in Big Spring, Texas. She married Edward Hart on Aug. 18, 1955, in Las Vegas, Nev. While her husband was in the Air Force, they lived in Japan, Greenville, Miss., Chandler, Ariz., and Charleston, S.C., returning to Big Spring in 1966. She taught at Parkhill Elementary in Big Spring from 1955 until 1956 and taught at Big Spring High School from 1975 until she retired in 1994. She was a member of First Methodist Church.

She is survived by four sons, Nat Hart and wife Elizabeth of Chandler, Jeff Hart of Big Spring, Bill Hart of San Diego and Sky Hart and wife Jennifer of Custer, S.D.; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one sister, Jane Hicks of Midland; one nephew and two nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one nephew.
