Jeneane Perry, 75, of the Lomax Community, died Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012, at the First United Methodist Church in Stanton with the Rev. Curtis Cadenhead and the Rev. Monte Kreis officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, at Gilbreath Funeral Home.
She was born March 4, 1937, in Haskell County, Texas, to Buck and Helen Turnbow and married Gene Perry Aug. 30, 1953 in Weinert, Texas.
She moved to the Lomax Community in 1957 and farmed along side her husband until retiring in 1998. Jeneane took great pride in her china painting, cooking and gardening and her greatest joy in life was her family.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Stanton.
Survivors include her husband, Gene Perry of the Lomax Community; one daughter and son-in-law, Carla and Roger Brooks of the Lomax Community; two granddaughters, Jody Roberts and husband Ross and their children, Jordan and Bryson of the Elbow Community and Lisa Baggerly and husband Scott and their son, Chandler of Teague; a nephew, Mike Byrd and his daughters, Brooke and Brandi of Abilene.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Dirk Perry; and a sister, Peggy Byrd.
The family suggests memorials be made to First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 1193, Stanton, Texas 79782 or to Home Hospice, 111 E. 7th St., Suite A, Big Spring, Texas 79720.
