Jerelene Bell, 89, of Big Spring died Sunday, March 18, 2012, at Parkview Nursing Home.
Jerelene was born Sept. 14, 1922, in Pittsburg, Texas, to Augusta Turner and Arthur Bell. She lived for a short time in Levelland before moving to Big Spring to be close to her brother. She was loved by many and loved playing Pitty Pat card game, collecting dolls and stuffed animals. She loved living life to the fullest and enjoyed many visitors. Jerelene was a feisty woman of small stature but she loved cats and staying active in her youth.
Jerlene became a devoted follower of Jesus and attended Mt. Bethel Baptist Church and the Senior Center until her health declined.
She leaves to mourn her passing, her brother, the Rev. J.B. Hardeman of Big Spring; four nieces, French L. Haywood and husband Joe II of Fort Worth, Phyllis Moore and husband Herbert of Big Spring, Jacquelyn Hardeman of Las Vegas, Nev., and Cynthia Hardeman of Houston; one nephew, Johnny Hardeman of Fort Worth; two great-nieces, Tymeshia Haywood and LyShawn Haywood, both of Fort Worth; three great-nephews, Joe Haywood III of Fort Worth, Jefery Hardeman of Round Rock and Wendell Moore of Houston; four great-great-nieces; one great-great-nephew; and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 24, 2012, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Elder William T. Hickman officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday, March 23, 2012, at the funeral home.
