Jessie Marie Nelson, 94, of San Angelo, formerly of Big Spring, died Sunday Oct. 27, 2013, at Park Plaza Nursing and Rehab Center in San Angelo. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013, at Myers & Smith Chapel. Burial will follow at Mount Olive Memorial Park.

She was born July 19, 1919, to Minnie Grandberry Tucker and Otto Tucker in Greenville Texas. She married David Nelson in Belton, Texas and they were married for 63 years. He preceded her in death in 1999. She was a longtime resident of Big Spring. She taught herself how to play the pump organ. She loved church and was an avid prayer warrior. She worked as housekeeper and a cook.

She is survived by one son, Elder Eddy Nelson and wife Beverly of San Angelo; and two daughters, Gloria Long of Florida and Pam Palmer of Big Spring; 18 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren and great-nieces and nephews.
