Jim Hal Parks passed away March 30, 2013, in Colorado City, Texas. Graveside services with military honors for Mr. Parks were held at 1 p.m. Monday, April 1, 2013, at Pioneer Cemetery in Graham, Texas. McMillan-Satterwhite Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Parks was born Jan. 28, 1925, in Desdemona, Texas, and moved to Graham in 1991 from Gainesville, Texas. He was a retired utility sales consultant and a member of the Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Survivors include a daughter, Lana Finley and husband Terry of Montgomery, Texas; granddaughter, Kim Barnfield and husband Matthew; two granddaughters, Julia and Madeline; four nieces, Laura Parks Smith, Donna Parks McPherson, Jan Parks Bandy and Jean Ann Parks Wolf; and a nephew, Kirby Endsley.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Parks in 2002; a sister, Dortha Endsley; and a brother, Don O. Parks.
