Jimmy A. Bailey, 70, of Big Spring, died on Monday, Jan. 16, 2012, in a Lamesa hospital. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 19, 2012, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with the Rev. Elwin Collom, pastor of Hillcrest Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2012, at the funeral home.

He was born Oct. 15, 1941, in Big Spring, Texas, and married Diana Spivey on June 15, 1963, in Big Spring.

Jimmy was a lifetime resident of Big Spring and graduated from Big Spring High School in 1959. He owned Big Spring Iron and Metal and JB's Amusement.

He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Diana Bailey of Big Spring; two sons, Bryan Bailey of Big Spring and James Bailey of Kerrville; one daughter, Kim Rios of Big Spring; eight grandchildren; one sister, Frances Overton of Kirkland, N.M.; and one brother, Charles Bailey of Big Spring.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Marcus and Viola Willie Burt Bailey; one brother, Jesse Marcus Bailey Jr.; and one brother-in-law, Maurice Overton.
