Jimmy Bledsoe Sr.
Jimmy Bledsoe, Sr., 60, of Big Spring, died Tuesday Jan. 14, 2014, at Texas Specialty Hospital in Lubbock, Texas. The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday Jan. 17, 2014, at Trinity Memorial Park Peace Chapel. Dr. Doug Shelley will officiate.He was born to Patsy and Clyde Bledsoe Nov. 24, 1953, in Cleburne, Texas. He was a longtime resident of Howard County moving to Big Spring in 1969 from Cleburne. On Aug. 21, 1971, he married Rhonda King in Big Spring. He was a Baptist. He drove a truck for McMahon Concrete for many years before retiring due to ill health.He is survived by two sons: Jimmy Bledsoe Jr. and wife Amy and David Bledsoe all of Big Spring; four daughters: Heather Friday, Lisa Hodges, Angel Bledsoe and husband Larry Marquez and Christina Bledsoe, all of Big Spring; one sister Linda Gillette and husband Pete of Big Spring; one brother Charles Bledsoe and wife Beverly of California; and nine grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his wife Rhonda in 2006; one son, Tracy Bledsoe in 1980; and one brother, Ronnie Bledsoe in 1997.Arrangements are by Myers & Smith Funeral Home and Chapel.
