Joe 'Louis' Munoz

Joe “Louis” Munoz, 56, of Big Spring died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, at his residence. The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, at Myers & Smith Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Myers & Smith Chapel with the Rev. Craig Wascom officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Olive Memorial Park.

Joe was born March 24, 1956, in Big Spring, Texas, to Ramona and Jimmy Munoz. He was a lifetime resident of Big Spring. He had worked at Webb Air Force Base, Gibson’s, Settles Hotel and Herman’s Restaurant.

He is survived by two brothers, Esmael Munoz and wife Linda and Johnny Munoz, all of Big Spring; six sisters, Amelia Rodriguez and husband Rafael of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Linda Galan and husband Frank, Cindy Lozano, Eva Foster and husband Daniel, Ramona Goff and husband Clifford and Rosita Martinez, all of Big Spring; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Benjamin Munoz.
