Joe S. Ewing

Joe S. Ewing, 70, formerly of Big Spring, Texas, died Jan. 21, 2013, in Colorado Springs, Colo.

He was born Jan. 19, 1943, in Big Spring and attended public schools here, graduating from Big Spring High School in 1961. He then attended North Texas State University before beginning his career in the U. S. Border Patrol. He later transferred to the U.S. Customs Service, where he was a pilot and a senior special agent.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two daughters, Natalie Joe Petsche of Ocala, Fla. and Dani Leigh Ewing of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; and a brother, Charles David Ewing of Bend, Ore.
