John Thomas 'Tommy' Christon

John Thomas Christon "Tommy", 75, of Stanton died Sunday, Sept. 2, 2012, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012, at First Baptist Church in Stanton with the Rev. David Harp, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Midland.

He was born May 31, 1937, in Ewing, Neb., and married Sue Neeley June 9, 1957, in Crane, Texas.

Tommy owned and operated Lake Shore Construction in Colorado City. In 1971, he moved to Stanton and soon joined his father in the family business, Christon Cabinet Shop, located in Midland. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Stanton.

Survivors include his wife, Sue Christon of Stanton; three daughters and sons-in-law, Connie and Bill Pardue of Stanton, Vickie and Coby McMorries of Tarzan and Christie and Jay Madison of Lenorah; one son, Johnny Christon of Stanton; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Sally Ann Conway.
