Johnnie Len Harvey, 83, of Big Spring died Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014, at Lamun-Lusk-Sanchez Texas State Veterans Home in Big Spring. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014, at the First Presbyterian Church, 800 W. Texas Ave., Midland, Texas.

Johnnie was born April 11, 1930, in Reed, Okla., and married Vivian Barrett Oct. 5, 1951, in Monahans. She preceded him in death Dec. 28, 2000.

He served in the United States Navy and worked until retirement for Northern Natural Gas as a pipeline supervisor.

He is survived by one daughter, Krista Kain and husband Scott of Garden City, Texas; and five grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Johnnie was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Virgie (Peeks) Harvey.
The family suggests memorial be made to First Presbyterian Church, 800 W. Texas Ave., Midland, Texas 79701.
