Johnny Bob Turner

Johnny Bob Turner, 79, of Knox City, passed away in Abilene on Jan. 9, 2013, at a local medical center. A memorial service will be held at the Piersall Benton Funeral Chapel, located at 733 Butternut St., at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013.
Johnny Bob was born in Abilene but was reared in Coahoma, Texas, where he attended school, married and raised a family. Johnny worked in the oil field most of his life and spent his retirement years in Coleman and Benjamin, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.K. Turner Sr.; a son, Brad Turner; a great-grandchild; and three brothers and five sisters.
Johnny is survived by a daughter, Mary Jon of Baton Rouge, La.; a grandchild; two brothers, James and Bill Turner; and one sister, Mary Jo (Turner) Stoker.
