Josefina De La Rosa Rodriguez

Josefina De La Rosa Rodriguez, 57, of Big Spring died Sunday, March 11, 2012, at University Medical Center in Lubbock. Vigil services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Myers & Smith Chapel with Deacon Jerry Duenes officiating. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Myers & Smith Chapel with Deacon Johnny Arguello officiating. Burial will be at Coahoma Cemetery.

She was born Aug. 20, 1954, in Parras, Coahuila, Mexico, to Guadalupe and Roman De La Rosa. She lived most of her life in Howard County. She was a homemaker and a Catholic.

She is survived by five sons, Ricardo Rodriguez Jr., Cesar Rodriquez, Jose De La Rosa Rodriguez, Oscar Rodriguez and his wife Barbara, and Carlos De La Rosa Rodriguez and his wife Andrea, all of Big Spring; mother, Lupe De La Rosa of Laredo; four brothers, Henry De La Rosa of Sand Springs, Alberto De La Rosa, Roman De La Rosa, and Pepito De La Rosa, all of Laredo; five sisters, Linda Tapia, Evangelina Martinez, Guadalupe De La Rosa, Mary Lou Ramirez and Vicky Hernandez, all of Laredo; and five grandchildren.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one sister, Veronica De La Rosa.
