Judy Price Belcher

Judy Price Belcher, 63, of Big Spring, died Saturday, Nov. 02, 2013, in a Lubbock hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 08, 2013, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

She was born Dec. 30, 1949 in Rotan, Texas and married Elmer Belcher July 15, 1987 in Coahoma. He preceded her in death Jan. 5, 1998.

She grew up in Roby and was a longtime resident of Big Spring. Judy worked for Hofacket Trucking beginning in 1976 until graduating from Howard College's LVN program and obtaining licensure in 1986. She worked for Hall-Bennett Hospital as a floor nurse from 1986 through 1987. She began working at the Big Spring State Hospital as an LVN on the Adolescent Unit in 1987 and retired in 2012 as the utilization review specialist in the Quality Management Department after 25 years of service. She was an avid reader, loved collecting antiques and watching westerns, especially John Wayne movies.
She was a Christian.

Survivors include three daughters, Heather Jennings and husband, Mike, Catrina Aguilar and husband, Herman, and Megan Beck and husband, James, all of Big Spring; one brother, John Price and wife JoNell of Rotan; one sister, Dessie Price of Roby; and eight grandchildren, Miranda Jennings, Stacy Jennings, Julia Aguilar, Nicholas Aguilar, Justin Beck, Trinity Beck, Asa Belcher and Robert Beck, all of Big Spring,

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Eunice Price; one brother, J. D. Price; and one sister and kindred spirit, Ruby “Sissy” Price.

The family suggests memorials to the Big Spring State Hospital, 1901 N. Hwy 87, Big Spring, Texas 79720 or to the American Heart Association, P. O. Box 841125, Dallas, Texas 75284-1125.
