June Leota Bingham McCracken, 86, died peacefully at home Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, surrounded by family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2012, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Dr. Randy Cotton, pastor of Trinity Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
She was born to E.I. and Lily Tate on June 25, 1925, in Loop, Texas. June was a long time resident of Big Spring and was a homemaker, raising six children. She was a Baptist and a member of Trinity Baptist Church. June enjoyed sewing, crocheting, quilting and arts and crafts, but truly enjoyed riding in the car around town sightseeing and watching people.
June is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Loyd and Judy Bingham, Steve and Debi Bingham and Cecil and Carolyn Bingham, all of Big Spring. She also leaves behind 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Rose Hand of New Mexico and Lucy Grimes of Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Jo Ann Bingham and Frances A. Bingham; one son, Billy R. Bingham; and her husbands, Joe William Bingham and Byron McCracken.
The family would like to thank family, friends, Scenic Mountain Medical Center staff and the staff at Home Hospice for all the love, support and prayers.
